Care Package Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (August, 2023)
During the months of July and August, Gather launched a fundraising campaign to raise money to make and distribute care packages to those experiencing homelessness in Ottawa. These packages contained a water bottle, protein bar, bandaids, wet wipes, a blanket, socks, and feminine pads. Each came enclose in reusable bags.
While our initial fundraising goal was $750 we received an overwhelming amount of support and were able to surpass that goal. Over the 6 weeks that we had been fundraising we raised $850 which allowed us to make 36 care packages which we distributed to those experiencing homelessness
St. Bridget Catholic School (June 2023)

On June 22nd, 2023, Christine D'Mello went to speak with a 6th Grade class at St. Bridget's Catholic School about Sustainable Development and Gather's Mission. There were some great conversations about the importance of sustainability and sustainable development and how we as individuals can contribute to making the world we live in a better place by advancing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
St. Anthony's Mela in Karachi, Pakistan (June, 2023)
On June 18, 2023 a Mela was held in Karachi, Pakistan to raise money for St. Anthony's school as well as to aid parishioners at St. Anthony's church who were struggling financially.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, inflation has been very high. It has made it difficult for people to afford basic necessities, healthcare, and their children's tuition fees.
Gather donated to their fundraiser to support those in need so they can once again access these necessities and so their children are able to get an education.
